Stirring devices (mechanical stirring, air flow stirring, etc.) are often set in the reactor. When the height diameter ratio is large, multi-layer stirring blades can be used. When the materials need to be heated or cooled in the reaction process, a jacket can be set at the reactor wall, or a heat exchange surface can be set in the reactor, or heat exchange can be carried out through external circulation. During operation, the temperature and concentration are easy to control, and the product quality is uniform.

In chemical production, it can be used not only in batch operation process, but also in continuous operation process; It can be operated by a single kettle or used in series by multiple kettles; However, if it is applied to the process requirements requiring high conversion rate, it has the disadvantage of requiring large volume. In general, the application of kettle reactor is the most common when the operating conditions are relatively mild, such as atmospheric pressure, low temperature and lower than the boiling point of materials.
